I moved to Holland straight out of Uni in 2003. I have lived in Gorinchem since 2007, often frequenting the local pub which - as it turns out - was also Harrie's local, though our paths didn't cross for another 7 years.
We met on Thursday 29th May 2014, whilst both out for a few drinks with (separate) friends.
He proposed while we were at a friend's wedding in France in September. I couldn't believe my luck (or his sobreity!) so I waited to see if he really meant it...
After 3 proposals in 3 different countries, with 3 positive answers, I concluded that he must be serious!

I'm a born and bred 'Schelluinse' - from a small village outside of Gorinchem, where Julia and I live today. I am an only child and have one daugher, Babette, aged 15.
I met Julia while in the pub with a friend and proposed less than 4 months later... And again 2 months later... And again another 2 months after that.
