It seems we got married in the wrong fashion season for the ties we were seeking: prints were all the rage so finding a plain, tangerine coloured tie was a challenge. Especially since we needed 3, so end-of-line sale items often didn't have enough left on stock.

We first ordered a paisley-print tie from Lorenzo Cana, but were disappointed to find that (despite the online photo showing orange) they ended up being primarily silver-grey colour with a subtle orange 'glow' in certain angles. We sent these back and searched again.

We found the perfect tie from Charvet via Mr Porter. They're silk linen blend, tangerine colour with an almost neon-glow. The gents looks great sporting the national colour on our wedding day!

Order process was easy and delivery was fast. Information and photos on the site were clear and accurate: made it very easy to select with confidence a tie that would look right, despite not first being able to see or feel it in person. Packaging was gorgeous, with custom printed labels: nice touch! Only minus point was the (high!) price, though the corresponding quality of Charvet doesn't disappoint.
